What we collect, why, and how to have it deleted.

This website
No ads, no cookies and no third-party analytics. We count visits ourselves:
- the page, the domain of the site that sent you, your device type (phone, tablet or computer) and your country;
- a random id that lasts only as long as your browser tab, so a visit counts once;
- while the tab is open, a signal every 30 seconds so we can see how many people are on the site;
- if you are signed in, the visit is linked to your account.
We never store your IP address, and counts older than 13 months are deleted. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is counted. Counts are stored by Supabase in its Mumbai data centre.
Fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page opens.
Signing in with Google
When you sign in, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We use them only to sign you in and show your account.
- They are stored by Supabase, our sign-in provider, in its Mumbai data centre.
- Your session stays in your browser’s local storage until you sign out.
- The sign-in code loads from jsDelivr when you use it.
- We do not sell or share your data, use it for ads, or use it to train AI models.
Miran Fann’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The Miran Fann app
The engine runs on your Mac. Your projects, films and settings stay on your computer. API keys you add are kept in your macOS Keychain.
The app sends us one thing: when a film is done, the AI writes a short paragraph about the issues it ran into in Miran Fann, so we can fix them. With it come the Miran and macOS versions, the app it ran in, and two random ids (one for your Mac, one for the session). Paths, emails and keys are removed from the paragraph first. We keep these reports for 3 days.
To turn it off: Settings, or npx miran-fann feedback off, or set MIRAN_FEEDBACK=off or DO_NOT_TRACK=1. The reports then stay on your Mac.
Every few hours, when it starts, it asks the npm registry whether a newer version is out and installs it. npm sees that request, under its own privacy policy. To turn it off: Settings, npx miran-fann update off, or set MIRAN_AUTO_UPDATE=off.
Otherwise it goes online only when you or your agent ask it to:
- downloading the built-in voice (Hugging Face, GitHub);
- cloud voices and generated images with your own keys (Google Gemini, ElevenLabs, OpenRouter), under their privacy policies;
- icon and animation search (Iconify, LottieFiles) and web fonts (Google Fonts);
- websites you ask it to capture.
